How to Choose High Visibility Garments?

Q: When high visibility garments should be worn?
A: According to safety stipulation, workers on foot and visitors in workplace should be protected from traffic and plant operation. Workplace should clearly delineated access ways. In addition, workers must be wear high visibility garments in below situation:
● When exposed to traffic or workplace and while operating vehicle or plant.
● When work in or near water.
● When they are outside the scope of vehicle reserve.
● When they are engaging vehicles inspecting operation.
● When instructed by their supervision, consistent with recommendation from risk assessment.
 
Q: Who should wear these clothing?
A: All workers and authorized visitors must be wear high visibility garments.
 
Q: What types of high visibility garments are there?
A: Only meet requirements with AS 4602.1 hi-vis garments. Aim to road and maritime workers, approved standard color is fluorescence yellow.
Care and Maintenance
Workers must keep there hi-vis garments clean and serviceable. It must replace if they are found defective, become stained or faded such that their high visibility reduced.
